About Us

Microbiologists Society was established in March 1996 and registered in November 1996 in Satara,Maharashtra,India(MS/4814/SAT).
Microbiologist society held many conferences to date;
1. “Microbial Technology”  atKarad (M.S.) in Dec. 1996.
2. ‘Biofertilizers and Biopesticides’ at Karad (M.S.) in Dec. 1997.
3. International conference of SAARC countries on “Biotechnology in Agriculture, Industry and Environment” at Karad (M.S.) in Dec. 2001.
4. International conference on “Biotechnology for better tomorrow” at Aurangabad from 6 to 9 Feb. 2011.
5. International conference on “Agro-Biotechnology for sustainable development” at Colombo, Sri-Lanka from 12-13 March 2012
6. International conference on “Environmental Biotechnology” at Bhutan from 07-08 May2013
7. International conference on “Biotechnology for better tomorrow” at Mauritius from 18-19 November 2013.

6. One day workshop on e-learning in Microbiology at Dr. BabasahebAmbedkarMarathwada University, Aurangabad in August 2011.
7. The society has organized farmers gathering to percolate the biofertilizer technology at Karad (M.S.) in 1998 at  Osmanabad (M.S.)  in March 2007

Other Achievements:
1. The society is running a scientific journal “Journal of Microbial World” since 1999.  Five proceedings of various conferences have been published in the journal.
2 .The society is having its branches at many Universities in India.
3. At present there are two hundred & fifty life members and One hundred & thirty nine annual members of the society.
